"The Twins" Llyr Evans as Julian Lewis, and Rhys Ifans as Jeremy Lewis are brothers in real life.

Swansea, Wales, the town where the film takes place is the birthplace of Dylan Thomas, the Welsh poet, short-story writer and playwright, who Dougray will portray in The Map of Love.

Twin Town director Kevin Allen also plays the role of the TV Presenter.

Keith Allen who plays Emrys Kevin Allen's brother.

Bhasker Patel who plays Ranjit also appeared in Arabian Nights as the Carpet Seller.
