The stately home used for Uncle Fergus's house is Ardkinglas House and was also used as the location for My Life So Far starring Colin Firth, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, and Malcolm McDowell.

David Robb (Uncle Fergus) and Paul Young (Uncle Hamish) also appeared with Dougray in Regeneration (aka Behind the Lines).
