Synopsis A producer and scriptwriter struggle tooth and nail over a story. The characters are re-invented, the locations changed, finally the scriptwriter gives in and gives the producer exactly what she wants: A story about a woman very much like herself. But is she a sympathetic character? And what is the goal that she seeks? Is her life really a story worth telling? And what of the scriptwriter? Could he be the man that would give her life some meaning? "The Proposal" is a tale of two people who have, quite literally, lost the plot.
