Bum's Rush
The Sunday
Herald gives a small mention about Dougray's upcoming
production:
"Among the films about to begin shooting in
Scotland is Bum's Rush, Dougray Scott's long-awaited flick about a group
of slackers who think they have found gold in the Highlands. The cast
includes Kevin McKidd and Denis Lawson. Scott will produce rather than
star in the movie, which will be made in the heart of whisky country, near
Grantown-on-Spey." source: Sunday Herald 10/27/02

To Kill a King
From yesterday's Variety:
"The London Screenings, which takes place this
week, may have been reduced to a shadow of its former self by the boycott
of the big sales companies, but it's not quite dead yet. The official list
of films screening in London includes about 70 titles, most of them
extremely minor. But there are also two significant private screenings not
listed -- HanWay is planning a cast-and-crew showing Oct. 29 of Mike
Barker's "To Kill a King" (if the print arrives in time),
and the Beyond Intl. is unveiling Oct. 30 the hot Oz comedy
"Crackerjack." Both screenings reflect dissatisfaction by the
sellers about the slots being offered by Mifed. These screenings will
mostly be attended by London-based buyers, but some distribs are flying in
on their way to Milan." source: Variety 10/27/02

Ripley's
Game
According to the IMDb,
the film will be released in Belgium on May 7, 2003.
To Kill a King
According to yesterday's Variety
on-line, HanWay Films requested 6 slots at MIFED
(Milan's Int'l Film and TV market) but was only awared 4. "This
has forced HanWay to reconsider the possibility of staging a private cast
and crew screening in London the week before -- a classic example of Mifed
shooting itself in the foot." MIFED runs from November 2-7.
The Bum's Rush
Another bit of news from yesterday's Variety
online: Myriad
Pictures will be the production house for The Bum's Rush, the
Scottish comedy from Mike Barker's and Dougray Scott's Hero Films
company

Apparently the screenwriter for Magic
Moments (a short film in which Dougray starred, and which can
sometimes been seen on FilmFour's
website), thinks Robin William's new feature film One
Hour Photo is just too similar to to be original.
