The results are in for the 2002.1
Internet Movie Awards. Not surprisingly, Spider
Man and Star
Wars swept the majority of the awards.
As promised yesterday, here's the Brazilian article and interview,
translated into English courtesy of Felibel!
Thanks Feli!
His Highness, Dougray Scott - March 1999
UOL.com
Spot the Scott - Was Dougray in Face/Off?*
While revamping my M:I-2
mini-site, I read a July
2000 Wow! Cinema interview with Dougray that I had posted back in
2000, but never read. (When M:I-2 was released, I was kept
very busy and didn't get to thoroughly read all the articles I
posted.) Anyway, I was surprised to read that Dougray supposedly had
a walk-on (and un-credited) part as one of Nicolas Cage's henchmen in the
1997 movie Face/Off,
also starring John Travolta. Intrigued, I rented the movie and
watched it very carefully.
About one-third of the way into the film, Travolta and a bunch of FBI
SWAT guys burst into the loft of one of Cage's bag-guy buddies (played by
a bald
Nick Cassavetes). During the massive gunfight, there is a scene
where Cassavetes' character is given a little boy and he sets him down,
out of harms way. Soon thereafter, there is a very brief scene where
one of the bad guys in a brown shirt is shot and swings to his left as he
takes the impact of the bullet. IMHO, I think that is Dougray!
Have you scene this film? What are your thoughts? Was that
Dougray? Share your thoughts on the Dougray
Scott Forum.
*Thanks to Nikki of the German
Dougray Scott site for the headline. And for enduring hours of
examining this film herself!

Thanks to Felibel for translating the Brazilian article
and interview with Dougray! I'll try to get that posted later
today or early tomorrow morning.
