Synopsis
a
| Although Kavanagh rarely gets
involved with family cases, he decides to appear
in court for businessman Michael Duggan (George
Kostigan) who has taken the law into his own
hands by kidnapping his son from the custody of his
ex-wife and her new husband. |

When Duggan
alleges his son is being abused by his new
step-father, Terry Fisher (Dougray Scott) the
court battle begins. |

Complications arise when legal
counsel, Judy Simmons (Holly Aird) develops a
personal relationship with Duggan and the
professional misjudgment further complicates
issues. |
