Heads will role

Rupert Everett is being lined up to play King Charles I in a new movie called Fairfax and Cromwell. He is meeting the director and producer of the film next week. Already signed for the project, which is due to go into production next year, are Tim Roth and Dougray Scott. Roth will play Oliver Cromwell while Scott will play Thomas Fairfax, the commander of the Republican Army. The film will focus on their disagreement between the two after they won the Civil War, when they argued as to whether or not the King should lose his head. Everett will have to do some diary-juggling – he's supposed to be filming a pilot for an American TV show in the near future.
