The Scotsman
Bond Leader
by Simon Pia
Which brings us to Fish and Hibs. The chips have been down for
Marillion star Derek Dick recently, but life is now on the up as an
actor.
Another of Hibs’ "showbiz" fans, Fish looks like landing the
role as the next Bond villain, which could see him face to face with a
fellow fan. Dougray Scott has been touted to take over from Pierce
Brosnan.
Who knows? This might be the time to "unleash the McLeish" as
in Hibs’ manager Alex. A mate of Dougray’s, Eck appeared with him
recently on Elaine C Smith’s TV show. Next step we reckon it will be
Parky, and it is no secret he’s a big fan of Robert de Niro.
It’s a while since Hibs was known as home of the stars, but when Chick
Young recently asked him if he shouldn’t be hanging out on Holywood
Boulevard (he meant Sunset) rather than at Hibs, Dougray shlurred:
"Eashter Road’s ma’ boulevard".
