DOUGRAY Scott will be the executive
producer as well as one of the stars of his next film project, to be
shot entirely in Scotland.
Glasgow actress Neve McIntosh is to co-star in the crime thriller
Bum's Rush which is being made by Scott's production company, Hero
Films. The movie follows three friends whose lives are changed forever
when they strike gold.
Production begins on November 18, filming at locations in Glasgow and
the Highlands.
The film also stars Rockface's Jamie Seves, Trainspotting's
Kevin McKidd and Small Faces' Iain Robertson.
Having recently completed To Kill A King, Fife-born Scott, who
recently appeared in Enigma and Mission Impossible 2,
said he is keen to spend more time working in Scotland and developing
projects with new Scottish talent like McIntosh. A graduate of the
Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, the rising star made her TV
breakthrough in 1999 with the Channel 4 series, Psychos, and
also appeared in Gormenghast.
Since leaving drama school seven years ago, 28-year-old McIntosh's
progress has been steady and she now seems unlikely to return to her
job in a London employment office.
She said: "I suppose it's more usual for actors to sign on the dole
than work in the dole office. But I'm really pleased with the way my
career is going now."
