Fun for the Kids
Children in Need BBC1, 7.00 pm
YES, it's that time again when the Beeb do their
bit for Children In Need.
This year, the Scottish team promise to bring you
the best of home grown entertainment in the hope you'll dig deep and
pledge some cash.
Jackie Bird, Rob MacLean and of course Pudsey
Bear will present the Scottish end of the 22nd Children In Need.
In the studio they'll be joined by The
Proclaimers, Carol Smillie, Chewin' The Fat's Greg Hemphill and Ford
Kiernan,with Supergirly, actor Dougray Scott, Tinseltown star
Dawn Steele, Gregory's Girl Clare Grogan, Record columnist Stuart
Cosgrove and Chick Young.
Scotland's favourite twin brothers The
Proclaimers perform their new single Sweet Little Girls and a track
from Shrek movie I'm On My Way.
And those gorgeous lasses from down under -
Supergirly - perform fabulous covers of Britney Spears' hit songs.
Also, BBC Scotland's battle of the towns quiz
show Town 2 Town turns into the"Battle of The Broadcasters"
when BBC Scotland television personalities take on Radio Scotland
presenters.
The fun-filled celebrity extravaganza is hosted
by Lorraine Kelly and Pudsey Bear.
It will give viewers the chance to see their
favourite personalities test their wits and knowledge about
themselves, their colleagues and the showbiz world.
The TV team includes Karen Dunbar, Chick Young,
Douglas Anderson, Jonathan Watson, Heather Suttie and Fiona Henderson.
The Radio team offers up Fred MacAulay, Gary
Roberston, Ali Abassi, Abeer Parkes, Janice Forsyth and Mhairi Stuart.
There will also be some outside broadcasts.
Sally Gray's in St Andrews, Heather Suttie in
Stranraer, Simon Biagi in Inverness and Patsi MacKenzie's in Stornoway.
They'll be keeping Scotland up to date with what
the country's mad fundraisers are getting up to.
And Carol Smillie will explain what all the cash raised is being
used for.
