The Diary: Good Shot
by Tom Shields & Ken Smith
SO, Scots film star Dougray Scott - he who plays
the baddie alongside Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible 2 - is a
big Hibbee fan. Yes, we know they are all coming out of the
woodwork now, even though most of the nouveau fans think the
Famous Five is an Enid Blyton novel.
So Hibs manager Alex McLeish invites him along to the directors'
box the other day, and has a long chat with Dougray afterwards.
An enjoyable time, you would think. But Alex glumly tells folk:
"Dougray certainly loves his team. All he wanted to do was
talk about football, which was a real pain for me, as all I
wanted to do was talk about films."
No doubt Alex wanted some tips from someone who starred in
Mission: Impossible about how to stay second in the league.
