Scott in donor appeal
HOLLYWOOD star Dougray Scott yesterday launched
a campaign for more bone marrow donors in Scotland.
The actor, who has featured in films such as Enigma and M:i-2, was in
Glasgow to back a city policeman’s appeal to aid leukaemia
sufferers. PC Stephen McIntosh said he had been touched when he heard
of the plight of leukaemia patient Johanna MacVicar, and was
especially concerned by the lack of ethnic minority donors.
Mr McIntosh, 38, whose family come from Jamaica, made a particular
appeal for his fellow officers to register as donors.
