Dylan's fans go to town
by Sue Castle
A TINY Welsh village is being turned into a film
set for a movie on wild man poet Dylan Thomas.
Laugharne in west Wales is bracing itself for a
rush of tourists when cameras start to roll.
Villagers are expecting a flood of Dylan fans to
watch the filming of £10million movie Map of Love, which stars Scottish
actor Dougray Scott as the hellraising poet.
Thomas, who was born in Swansea, but later moved to
Laugharne, is a favourite of film star Catherine Zeta-Jones who named
her son after him.
Tom Watts, 71, a landlord in the village, said:
"It's bound to bring a lot of money in."
But community council town clerk Paul Wilkins said:
"He was regarded as a drunk who scrounged off the locals and
outstayed his welcome."
