A local woman has completed a mission impossible to win jeans owned by Glenrothes film star Dougray Scott.

Glenrothes Amateur Musical Association (GAMA) member Mharie Dinsdale (40) scooped the sought-after prize during a race night held last month, raising £659.37 in funds for the drama group.

Mharie, of Woodside Road, said the former Auchmuty High pupil who is also GAMA s honorary president donated the Italian-designer jeans which he wore in the film Mission Impossible II, a signed photograph, letter of authenticity, as well as a copy of the movie on video.

Mharie, who joined GAMA at the start of this year, said: We were able to contact Dougray to find out if he could donate something for the race night to raise funds.

I was really pleased to win the jeans as there were quite a few people who wanted them. I put them on after I won them and they fitted perfectly, but I won't be wearing them again in case they get damaged.

She added: I'm quite a fan of his and I really enjoy watching his films.
