Saffron an Enigma at film bash
no author available
FILM star Saffron Burrows does her best to ignore
the rain as she arrives at a film premiere party in Edinburgh.
Ms Burrows, Fife-born Dougray Scott and Kate Winslet all attended the
premiere of the new film Enigma at the city’s Odeon cinema, before
going on to a party at the National Museum of Scotland in Chambers
Street.
Mr Scott, who plays the film’s leading character Tom Jericho, arrived
for the beginning of the premiere, but left after 15 minutes to watch
Hibs play Rangers in a nearby pub.
He said: "It’s really nice to be here, but I’d rather be at
Ibrox where the match is being played. In fact, I’m going to nip out
to the pub to watch the game later on." After the premiere, Mr
Scott, obviously satisfied with the final 2-2 draw, rejoined his
co-stars for the party.
Also in attendance were the film’s director Michael Apted, author of
the original novel Robert Harris, MP Robin Cook and Lord Provost Eric
Milligan.
Ms Winslet only arrived in Scotland an hour before the premiere and said
the wet Edinburgh weather had ruined her hair style.
The Oscar-nominated actress said: "I didn’t have long to put my
make-up on and the rain outside has made my hair go a bit funny."
