August 19, 2001 Kate Winslet may have dressed down for the premiere of her new movie, but she still managed to bring a touch of Hollywood glamour to a dismal Edinburgh evening. The Titanic star looked delighted to be in town with her co-stars - Fife heartthrob Dougray Scott and Saffron Burrows - to launch Mick Jagger's first venture into films, Enigma. Jagger himself did not attend the screening. Posing for photographs, the stars cheered the crowds who greeted them outside the city's Odeon cinema despite the torential rain. Dressed in short-sleeved denim jacket and a black corset dress, Winslet wrapped her arms around Scott. But Scott said his thoughts were really elsewhere: "I'd really rather be at Ibrox watching the Hibs," he quipped. © The Scotsman Pub. Ltd. |
