Harring, Scott versed on indie Poet

Laura Elena Harring and
Dougray Scott are teaming to star in the independent suspense thriller
"The Poet" for British director Paul Hills. The $9
million-budgeted project is set to start shooting Aug. 17 in Munich.
The story follows an international assassin (Scott) who misses his
target and accidentally kills the wrong man. In trying to rectify his
wrong, he attempts to learn more about the life of his innocent victim
only to meet and fall in love with the man's sister (Harring). German
producer Arno Ortmair is producing through his production company
Film/Line. Harring received much attention and a 2002 ALMA Award for
her starring turn in David Lynch's "Mulholland Drive." She
is repped by ICM, Untitled Entertainment and attorney Steven Brookman
at Bloom, Hergott, Diemer & Cook. Scott, whose credits include
"Enigma," "Ever After" and "Mission:
Impossible 2," next stars in "Ripley's Game." He is
repped by WMA in Los Angeles and in the United Kingdom by agent Lindy
King. Hills wrote and directed the films "Boston Kickout"
and "The Frontline."
