Dougray
Scott and Ray Winstone will be the stars of the
historical film "Cromwell and Fairfax " which
will be based on an episode in the life of Oliver
Cromwell.
Scotsman, Dougray Scott
(the villain in Mission: Impossible 2), and
Ray Winstone (Sexy Beast) will be the
stars of Cromwell and Fairfax, put to
screen by Mike Barker, the director of The Best Laid
Plans in 1998.
The film will be based on their friendship, then their
rivalry in the 17th century when General Fairfax and
Oliver Cromwell, combined in a fight against England's
King Charles I. Dougray Scott will portray General
Fairfax and Ray Winstone will be Oliver Cromwell, future
responsible for the English Parliament. Production
begins in September, for an anticipated release
near the end of the 2002.
