MOVIE star Dougray Scott has been given a new
Mission - to pile on three stones for his latest film role.
The lean Scots actor faces going from hunk to
chunk by going on a massive food binge to play roly poly Welsh poet
Dylan Thomas.
Dougray, 36, is now under strict instructions to
launch into a feeding frenzy before filming starts later this year
just months after he lost weight for a role.
The Mission: Impossible 2 star had just got back
to his normal weight of 12 stones after losing two stones to play a
leukemia victim in the sequel to The Talented Mr Ripley, Ripley's
Game.
But now he must weigh in to a high-fat diet.
Dougray from Glenrothes, Fife, said: "You name it, cakes,
burgers, biscuits, I'm going to eat it."
The star, who also had to diet to play a
code-breaking mathematician in Enigma, said that after playing Dylan
Thomas he would choose parts carefully.
He said: "My weight has yo-yoed after the
past few years.
"For Mission Impossible: 2, I spent hours in
the gym and then I went on a cabbage diet to lose weight. After
getting back to normal, I had to lose two stones for Ripley's Game.
"Now I need to put on weight to play Thomas
- he was a big lad.
"I must learn to pick parts where I can be
my normal weight."
