Soho House, a private club in London's Soho, is ground zero for the
U.K.'s biggest celebs.
MAKING THE SCENE Membership is confidential, but Hugh Grant, Rufus
Sewell, Colin Firth, Robbie Williams, Rupert Everett, Jeremy Northam,
and Dougray Scott have all reportedly been spotted enjoying the club's
roof deck, 27-person cinema, bar, restaurant, and drawing room.
Americans Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, and Angelina Jolie are also said to
be fans.
THE VIBE Says one recent guest, "From the very private entrance,
you get the idea that you are entering an exclusive environment. Inside,
however, there's a homey atmosphere that's not pretentious at all, and
the food is surprisingly good."
THE BRIDGET JONES FACTOR London's Times listed the club as a place
the fictional singleton would hang. Ms. Jones' screen alter ego, Renee
Zellweger, became a member during the filming of Diary.
HOW TO BELONG Not so fast--there's an 18-month waiting list. But in
the interim, the posh Babington House in Somerset, England--also owned
by Soho House founder Nick Jones--is open to the public.
