On the Sofa - Dougray Scott

Dougray Scott star of Twin Town, This
Year's Love and Mission Impossible 2, and mad Hibernian fan
talks to Tim and Helen about life North of the Border... |
In the world of movies, suave, sexy and Scottish, are
normally three adjectives usually reserved for Sean Connery.
But now, Dougray Scott - star of Twin Town, This Year's Love and
Mission Impossible 2 - really is stealing the thunder from the
ex-Bond.
Strangely, it was as a Welshman that he first stood out, appearing in
Twin Town as a cop "so bent you could hang a Hawaiian shirt on
him".
But, not only is the Fife born thespian passionate about the silver
screen, he also knows a thing or too about the beautiful game, and in
particular Hibernian.
It has been a fantastic season at Easter Road - finishing third
in the Scotish Premier League and of course, relishing the prospect of
going head-to-head with Celtic in the Scottish Cup Final.
"I think we are getting back to the glory days of the 70's",
he says triumphantly.
And despite the recent 5-2 thrashing by Celtic, in a cup final dress
rehersal, Dougray remains confident of stealing the silverwear from
under the nose of Martin O'Neill.
"I think we may surprise a few people against Celtic. We've been
playing really well recently, and in a one off game like the Cup
Final, we can do it."
