US deal for Jagger film
by Hugh Davies
Enigma is a £25 million romantic thriller about Second World War British code-breakers. While Miramax - riding high in Hollywood with America's two top hits, Bridget Jones's Diary and Spy Kids - has been given the UK rights, an "upstart" film company, Manhattan Pictures International, is paying £1.75 million for the US rights.
Jagger's company Jagged Films has taken six years to finish Enigma. Kate Winslet plays an operative in the radio room at Bletchley Park and Dougray Scott is a mathematician recovering from a breakdown. Jagger and his daughter Elizabeth act as extras
