Good crack as Elaine holds forth in the local

ELAINE C Smith, the Glesga talk show host and screen wife of Rab C Nesbitt, was accosted in the Business a.m. local, Thomsons on Edinburgh's Morrison Street, this week.

But rather than quiz Elaine on her upcoming projects, all our     gin-fuelled finest wanted to know was, "Is Ewan McGregor really that nice and was Dougray Scott really drop dead gorgeous?"

Elaine, apparently, was very accommodating. Personally, the Diary would have told them to naff off.
